| What is the Sports Premium? |
| The government is providing funding of £300 million per annum to provide new and substantial primary school sport funding. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school head teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. |
| What is the purpose of the grant? |
Schools must spend the additional funding on improving and/or sustaining their provision of PE and sport, but have the freedom to choose how this is achieved. This might include: - Making improvements to the PE and Sports provision that will benefit pupils both now and for future year
- Introducing/developing sports or activities and encourage more children to be active
- Supporting and involving the least active children by running tailored after-school sports and holiday clubs, e.g. the Change4Life clubs
- Providing resources and training courses in PE and sport for teachers
- Organising sporting competitions both in-school and against other schools
- Increasing pupil participation

| How have we planned to spend it? |
- Joining the Slough School Sport Network (SSSN). This provides support for Slough schools including professional development for teachers/teaching assistants and supporting resources such as schemes of work and assessment tools; entry into all School Games and SSSN competitions and associated costs. £5500.
- For a temporary pool to be placed in-situ, to deliver intensive swimming courses to 2 year groups. £7000
- To improve the lunch, playtime, lesson and extra-curricular provision in KS2 by installing 6 new, fixed basketball posts and hoops - £11000
