This week our Year 3 scientists dug deep to explore the soil around us. Using their investigation skills, children researched how soil is formed, how top soil develops and what is required to break down rocks into soil. They were amazed when they discovered that plastic plays such a huge role in the production of soil! Our future explorers then took a hands-on approach to analyse a range of soils. They analysed their appearance, their texture, their feel and their content using their senses. Finally they presented their ground-breaking findings to one another with confidence. Why not see which types of soil your child can find over the weekend and send us pictures on class dojo!
