In Year 4, we have been practising our division using a range of methods. We have learnt practical methods using different resources and formal written methods, which is long and short division (bus stop). The children have shown great determination and resilience, never giving up even when they have found it tricky at times. At home, please continue to practise and talk about division using the mathematical language, e.g. I have 13 oranges… Can I share them between 3 people? Use objects you may have at home to solve problems practically.
