This week in Year 3, we decided to put our measuring skills to the test and measure objects around the classroom. We built on our Year 2 learning by measuring objects that were longer than a metre.
We estimated the length of objects in centimetres and then used a measuring tape to measure each item. We even practised converting centimetres into metres. The children learnt and used a wide range of vocabulary related to the world of measurement. We had great fun and can’t wait to hear all about the children extending their learning by measuring at home!
