In the last week Year 5 have experienced two very exciting days.
The first was World Mental Health Day, which started with class meditation and included activities such as yoga, mindful colouring and team-building. Throughout the day, pupils reflected on the meaning of mindfulness and the importance looking after your mental health as well as your physical health.
The second event we held was our History day. Pupils were invited to dress up as Victorian children and experience what school was like for children over 100 years ago. Parents were invited into the classroom to help with activities such as sewing, cooking, technical drawing and model making. Tables were laid out in rows like a Victorian classroom and a little bit of acting was required from the teachers in order to pretend to be stern Victorian teachers!
A thoroughly enjoyable week and lots of memories made.
