Weekly Update - 17th May

Last week in Geography, Year 3 learnt how engineers and architects make buildings that can stay upright during an earthquake in order to keep the people inside safe. We read that buildings need to have wide, strong foundations in order to stay stable and need to be flexible so that they don’t collapse. We tried to build our own earthquake-proof buildings using plastic cups, lollysticks and blu-tack. Some of ours actually stayed up when we shook them!
