As part of our plant topic in science we have been finding out about how plants pollinate. We dressed up as flowers and bees and the flowers had to give the bees the pollen to take back to their beehive. When the flower had no more pollen left it curled up to show all the pollen had gone. We found out that this happens so new plants will grow and the bees can feed their hive.
All of our Year 1 children enjoyed being "busy bees" for the day and it was a great way for them to learn about plant pollination.
