This week, Year 2 historians were celebrating everything they have learnt about the Great Explorers of the world. They completed a writing task where they wrote acrostic poetry and instructions on “How to get to space”. The students then had the opportunity to design and construct a spaceship. They used their knowledge of the Apollo 11 and rockets to make sure they had the main features of the rocket. Then they decided on the materials they would need to use. After careful planning, they created and constructed their amazing rockets! It was an excellent way to show what we have learnt about Great Explorers.
