This week the children in Year 1 have settled beautifully back into routines, after a restful break. We have jumped straight back into learning and the children have shown great enthusiasm in all their lessons. They have begun a new topic of 'Dinosaurs' and there are passport projects available on the school website, for the children to complete at home. They asked some great questions in their first lesson and showed that they already have some knowledge of dinosaurs from Reception.
In science the children are continuing with their learning about materials. This week they experimented with different types of paper, including seeing which was best to make a house from: tissue paper, writing paper, wrapping paper and card.
We are looking forward to another term with the children. Please continue to read with your children at home, as often as possible- it really makes a difference.
