Pupils in Reception and Year 1 will be exploring the stories of children's author Julia Donaldson.
Donaldson is famous for writing picture books for younger reader such as, 'The Gruffalo' and 'the snail and the Whale'
Pupils in year 2 are exploring the American author and illustrator Dr Suess. His work includes several of the most popular children's books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated in more than 20 languages.
Pupils in Year 3 are in for a real treat this year. The children will be reading stories from Dick King Smith. King Smith is best known for The Sheep-Pig. It was adapted as the movie Babe and translations have been published in fifteen languages. |
Pupils in Year 4 will be reading the stories of the World's Number 1 storyteller and author of much loved stories including: ' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and ' Matilda'. It could only be the one and only Roald Dahl |
Year 5 pupils will be reading the surprising and hilarious stories from one of Britain's funniest comedians David Walliams. Walliams' books include: ' The Boy in the Dress' and 'Mr Stink'
Pupils in year 6 are exploring the famous works of William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. The pupils will also visit the Globe Theatre during the Autumn Term |
