We were delighted that eight talented members of Year 5 recently took part in Slough Music Service’s Gifted and Talented Music and Arts Project. This provided the opportunity for pupils in Year 5 from different schools to work together over a number of weeks, culminating in a performance in front of an invited audience.
The project enabled children to work with music leader Neil Valentine, 4Motion Dance Theatre and art teachers from Slough schools to compose and create a performance through elements of music, dance, drama, art and ICT.
Pupils worked extremely hard during four whole day workshops and a half day rehearsal. The final performance was held at The Curve in Slough on Friday 11th May 2018 attended by many parents and staff. The performance was amazing and professionally polished; our children really excelled themselves at singing, dancing and acting and of course, their behaviour was exemplary.
Thank you to Year 5 pupils taking part and to parents and staff who supported them by attending the performance which the children will never forget.
