This week, the Year 2 children have worked very hard. This term, we are reading a new book called ‘Katie in London’ and this week, the children looked at the front cover and made predictions and inferences about the story.
In Science, the children explored different materials and looked at the suitability of these materials.
In Geography, we began to explore landmarks of the world. We looked at some local landmarks, including the Cippenham Moat and Windsor Castle. We talked about why these landmarks are important.
In Literacy, we learnt three new skills: we explored how to use time connectives to sequence events in a story; how to use conjunctions to extend our sentences; and how to use the past tense to write about events that have already happened.
Keep up the hard work Year 2!
