On Tuesday this week, the year 6 children had a special day of RE learning about one of the world’s oldest religions, Christianity. From start to finish, the children were extremely inquisitive and were full of questions showing how eager they were to learn and know more. We spent part of the day looking at the role of the Ten Commandments which led to a thought-provoking conversation about which Commandment they thought was the most important and why. The children also learned about the life of Jesus from the Christian perspective, however what was amazing to see was the maturity and respect in which they compared and contrasted this with his role in Islam. The children were truly amazing and did themselves proud!
