This week in year 5, we have been looking at non-chronological reports in Literacy. We identified the features of a non-chronological report in regards to layout and structure. We also identified the language features which are included in non-chronological reports. We spent time completing research to find out as much information as we could for our subtitles. Here are the children working extremely hard to identify all the features and researching all about rivers so they can use that in the non-chronological report.
Also, in Big Read we have been focusing on summarising. We identified different headings to match the correct paragraphs. After this we thought of our own headings to match the paragraphs and some were very creative!
We have all enjoyed being back at school, teachers as well. Here’s to another fantastic week of learning!
