In Year 2, children have had a fantastic week with a No Pens Day on Tuesday. The children developed their speaking and listening skills through expressing their views and asking each other coaching questions to better their understanding. It was a blast and the children really enjoyed the different activities, including drama, to understand the features of a play script, using clocks to tell the time and finding past tense verbs in their reading books.
Year 2 Mathematicians learnt to tell the time in five minute intervals reading an analogue clock.
In Science, the children are learning to sort the needs of a baby in order to survive.
In Geography, Year 2 sorted the landscapes where a wildfire would happen and the landscapes where a wildfire would not happen and justified their answers to the whole class.
What a great week year 2 have had!
