Teamwork was the name of the game in Year 6 this week as our children worked together to solve a number of different percentage problems. For the past couple of weeks, in at least one Maths lesson a week, the children have been working collaboratively to improve their communication skills and to deepen their understanding of different Mathematical concepts. It was wonderful to see our children working so well together, with other members of the year group who they might not normally work with, and applying their prior learning to new contexts and situations. The children loved working mathematically on real life problems and being able to use the answers they calculated to support their arguments (as well as trying to prove Mr Ruane wrong!).
