This week, the Year 1 children have been practising working together. They used 1 piece of paper, crayons and 1 coin which they had to make a brass rubbing of. They had to discuss how they would make the rubbing together as they could only make one. The children really enjoyed the challenge.
In Maths, the children continued to learn about addition number sentences using number bonds, counters and number lines. The focus being on filling in the gaps and creating stories from a picture.
In PE with Mr T, the children were thinking about space and how far they can jump.
Finally, as Wednesday marked Armistice Day, the children were briefly introduced to British Value of Remembrance. They were given poppies to colour in so that they could hold them and be thankfully for the peace that we enjoy in this country.
