The children of Year 4 have enjoyed learning all about Dinosaurs thanks to our recent creative curriculum topic this term. Throughout the past two weeks, the children have used and learned a variety of skills in reading, geography, maths and science. In science, the children studied the fascinating theories around dinosaur extinction; resulting in their own piece of writing displaying what they believe happened to the dinosaurs millions of year ago. In reading, the children learned all about dinosaurs whilst investigating a mystery dinosaur through various clues. They learned about habitats, diets, adaptations and they even learned that some plants and animals alive today also existed during the Mesozoic period. In maths and geography the children explored different dinosaur excavation sites while learning about maps, perimeter and area.
