In year 3, we have been taking part in the Daily Mile. For 15 minutes, pupils take part in a daily run. This has helped to improve not only their fitness, but also their social and emotional wellbeing. Their concentration in lessons and readiness to learn has been amplified as they return to their classrooms focused and ready to begin their lessons. The time that children spend outside engages them with the outdoors and improves their awareness of exercise. Children are more confident and determined in the classroom, while enjoying the fresh air outside with their friends as they run.
