The pupils in Years 5 and 6 were very excited to be take part in a Careers Day, which took place on the 17th June 2019. Professionals from a wide range of fields set up stalls in the school hall to talk to the children about their jobs and the range of careers open to them.
The pupils were able to ask all the visitors questions about their jobs, how they discovered what they wanted to do and what skills they needed to do their jobs.
The children heard about a range of jobs and were amazed to realise that an interest in science could lead them not only into becoming a scientist but a doctor, a dentist or a teacher. Similarly a talent for art would open up options around product design, marketing, calligraphy and photography as well as performing arts.
It was a successful day that inspired pupils to discover the host of opportunities open to them.
