Action 1: Beyond the Curriculum

To provide all pupils with opportunities to develop a love of sports beyond the national curriculum through our enhanced PE curriculum.

In our ongoing commitment to enhance the educational experience of our pupils beyond the National Curriculum, we have implemented a range of exciting extracurricular activities for our Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils.

  1. Clip and Climb Experience
All pupils in KS2 had the opportunity to participate in a Clip and Climb session. This activity not only promotes physical fitness but also encourages teamwork and personal challenge. The feedback from both pupils and staff has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting increased confidence and enjoyment.

  2. Visit to Dorney Lake
We organised a trip to the prestigious Dorney Lake, where all pupils engaged in rowing and raft building. This experience was invaluable, as it taught the children about cooperation, communication, and the importance of working together towards a common goal. The pupils also learnt about water safety and the environment, enriching their understanding of the natural world.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our next project: an ice skating experience for all pupils. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to try this enjoyable and skill-building activity. Ice skating will not only promote physical health but also enhance balance, coordination, and resilience.
